Japanese general home curry

  • 5 Green peppers, 72cents
  • 2 carrots, 72 cents
  • 2 packs of maitake mushrooms, 1.16 cents
  • 3 eggplants, $1.01
  • 1 tomato, $1.01
  • 1/4 pumpkin, $1.5

Slice the onion and add it to the pan. Onions are a gift from my family.

Cut the carrots and pumpkin and put them in a pot and fry.

Then cut the eggplant and put it in the pot and fry it.

Next, cut the maitake mushrooms and tomatoes and put them in the pot.

Put the solid curry base in a pot and simmer. The origin of this curry called “Java Curry 2.56$/9 servings” is my recent favorite. I added the hottest level of dryness. However, it is not only spicy, but also has a strong umami and richness. [Umami is the fifith taste, it is recognezed as the fifth taste agter salty, sweet, sour, bitter.]

It took about 30 minutes to cut the vegetables and add the curry base. Then I cooked it in a pressure cooker for about 10 minutes. Curry is very easy to prepare, and as someone who is lazy, I love it.

And quite often I forget to use some of the ingredients I purchased. This time it was okra “adies’ fingers”.

It was very delicious. It was a spicy curry, so I sweated a lot.
