Today is Saturday, and it’s a day off for the company. I woke up in the morning as usual and took the train to the studio to practice guitar. It takes about 30 minutes from my home to the studio.
When I arrived at the studio at 9 o’clock, various people from old men who seemed to have passed their sixties to young people were doing band activities. I felt really good because I could practice guitar with loud sound from the morning. The weather was so nice today that I hung out my futon(bedding), cleaned the room, and did laundry. Since the weather was so good, I went out to the balcony and took pictures of pearls. I was able to take very beautiful pictures, so I decided to reshoot all the products. It was around 11 o’clock. In the afternoon, the balcony no longer received direct sunlight, so I hurried to continue the reshoot. The shooting was completed in about an hour.
In the afternoon, I went to the company and washed my motorcycle. Since the company people don’t usually come to the office on holidays, even if I wash it, they won’t notice. After that, the weather was so nice that I rode my motorcycle aimlessly for about an hour.
When I got home, I started replacing all the images I took in the morning on Etsy.
I have about 60 products, but it took more time than I expected. It took about five hours. First, I took a picture of the tag and the product so that the product could be identified later, and then I took a picture of just the product by excluding the tag. Even if there are similar products, the photo with the tag should come first, making it convenient. However, when I uploaded the photos to the cloud service on my computer, the order of the photos became mixed up.
In the end, I had a hard time finding the images of the products I wanted to replace. Maybe that’s why it took five hours. However, personally, I am very satisfied that my Etsy store is filled with beautiful pictures. It’s now after midnight. It was a very busy day even though it was a holiday. However, I had a satisfying day. Moreover, while replacing the images, I was exchanging emails with my lovely customers on Etsy. It was like I was working with a friend, and it was a very nice time.
Also, the other day another customer gave me some advice on photography. It was to take pictures with pottery. Today, I was able to achieve that and it feels great. I would like to hear feedback on the newly photographed images from that customer.
This is a photo of Lulu that my mother sent me. She looks sleepy in the car on the way back from their walk. It seems she noticed the sound of the camera shutter and had a look on her face like she was saying, “Mom, what are you taking a picture of?”
Last night, I invited my boss to my house for a dinner of Genghis Khan. The dish was quite simple, but the lamb meat was very delicious. I usually don’t eat lamb and there aren’t many restaurants that serve it. One of my colleagues recently visited Hokkaido, which is the northernmost region of Japan and where there is a culture of eating lamb. When I traveled to Hokkaido in the past, my friends and I bought cheap lamb meat at a supermarket and grilled it at a cottage. It was surprisingly delicious. So, I remembered this and asked my colleague to buy lamb meat at a supermarket if they visit Hokkaido.
