I will participate in the pearl harvest from tomorrow.

Today is December 16th. Originally, I was planning to go on a business trip for the pearl harvest on December 5th, but the schedule for the company’s pearl harvest has changed several times. Currently, I am going on a business trip for the pearl harvest on December 17th. The schedule for the year is to harvest pearls until around Christmas.

About pearl harvesting. According to Lott, as a farm manager, there are times when he want to cultivate a little more in the sea to thicken the nacre or give it a little more sparkle.

This time, while harvesting the pearls, depending on the quality of the pearls at that time, they will flexibly change whether to cultivate a little more or not.

As a result, my pearl harvesting travel schedule keeps changing.

There are also several pearl sorting employees on site at the pearl farm. Currently, the amount of pearls harvested is not very large. I’m not needed if only the local employees can sort it out in time.

From now through mid-January, 95% of the pearls harvested will be sold at a pearl auction open only to nationally licensed and designated traders.

The bidding will start in mid-January. When that time comes, I will have to manage all hundreds of pearl lots. The lot name and weight of each harvested and selected must be strictly controlled. Preparing for the auction will take hundreds of listings until dawn. The total weight of each lot and the total weight exhibited at the auction must match in grain units.

If I work normally, those numbers should match naturally, but I’m weak with numbers anyway. I sometimes have a very hard time keeping my numbers consistent.
Surrounded by such a huge list of pearls before and after the auction, the amount of work increases explosively. However, I have plenty of time on other days. Pearls are sorted from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. When I return to the employee dormitory, I am free from there. I used to practice the guitar until late at night after coming home. Besides practicing the guitar, I also read books. Last year, I started my own pearl shop, so I make accessories every night.

I’ve recently started practicing metal engraving and brazing, so I’d like to be able to practice while I’m on a business trip.

Also, recently I got acquainted with a famous person in the history of pearls. My name is Mr. Todo. His great-grandfather is the great inventor of pearl stain removal. Thanks to him, pearl processors from all over Japan have gathered in the city of Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. His great-grandson, Mr. Todo, is over 60 years old. He also worked for a large jewelry company and a diamond company. He said he now works for a huge company that farms white pearl oysters.
His great-grandfather ran his own fish farm about 60 years ago. And the other day he showed me a pearl that was made at the farm about 50 years ago. Pearls have a fairly low luster, but have a smooth surface. Moreover, the thickness of the nacre was much thicker than that of today’s pearls.

When I looked at those pearls, I felt the power of the pearl’s dignity coming from within.

And I was lucky enough to get permission to buy some of those pearls from him.

I mainly purchase pearls from the company where I work. However, I personally rarely buy pearls from other people. I was very sensitive to the evaluation and pricing of pearls. If I price my pearls too high, I will have trouble selling them. But if I price the pearls too low, it will be disrespectful to him and he will not sell to me. Based on various data that I have experienced, I have selected and evaluated pearls many times.

As a result, my price was close to his desired price, and the transaction went smoothly.

It was about 2:00 pm when I wrote this far, but now it’s 1:22 am because I stopped writing.

My place of work is open until 5:00 pm, but at the end of the day, there was one shipping task.

The necklace I just made yesterday sold.

Returning home at 5:30pm, I packed up, wrote a letter and went to the post office. The post office is about 15 minutes by motorcycle. It was 7pm when I got home. After that, I prepared for my business trip from tomorrow. First, I packed the pearls for the pearl product making that I was going to do that night.

In addition to pearls, I packed hardware and tools. and clothing.

I took the luggage and the guitar to the company by taxi. I will have the company ship it to the pearl farm tomorrow.

After that, I made two pearl gacha pops. A wholesale customer of mine runs a pearl gacha. There are 40 locations nationwide. Someday I want to set up a pearl gacha in various countries such as the United States, Europe and the United States.

It was around 1:00 in the morning when they finished their work. And now I am writing this article. If I don’t write articles for a while, the number of people who come to this site is getting smaller and smaller, so I’ll try to write as many articles as possible.

There are some fairly mediocre and boring contents, but I want to write them steadily.

So good night.

I am part of a Japanese company with an Akoya pearl farm. Apart from the company, I personally run an Akoya pearl shop. I would appreciate it if I could share smiles with various people through pearls.
