New Pearls

I’m so late in updating my blog. During the year-end and New Year holidays, I left my hometown and was at a pearl farm to harvest pearls. There are frequent dinner parties with friends and acquaintances that are called resumption after returning to the hometown. It may be a little exaggerated to be on a business trip for only about two months, but I am happy. Also, next week we have a big annual meeting at the company. It is the so-called wage negotiation by employees. I work at the head office, but I understand the feelings of the people at the farm, so I have mixed feelings. Currently, I am busy preparing for that meeting.

Under such circumstances, the pearls that had been processed at the end of the year were returned.

It looks like gold in the picture, but it’s actually a little more whitish pearl. After this, the pearls are made into marketable pearls after a second processing that takes several months. The so-called “processing to remove stains” is performed on these pearls. After being “unstained” the pearl becomes even whiter. It’s the pearly whiteness you see in jewelry stores. The original pearl color is a little yellowish.

Goldish pearls still need processing, but blue pearls don’t seem to need processing anymore.

In Japan, flower shops have started flat-rate flower services for several years. It’s a service that automatically sends flowers to my home twice a month for about $12. I dreamed of having flowers in my room, but it took me three years to realize it because I was slow to make a decision.

The day before yesterday, the first flowers arrived at my house. As expected, I was very happy. I immediately took a picture with the pearl. I don’t know how to arrange flowers yet. And I don’t have the know-how to shoot pearls and flowers well. However, I am very happy to see my favorite pearls and cute flowers lined up. The name of the shop is “Flower Jem”, so I think I needed flowers. It feels so good to have a new and cute life in my room. I would like to change the water every day and take care of the flowers.

It is a service that delivers two sets of flowers for $12 a month. Flowers are sent to my home once every two weeks. About three years ago, I found out about the existence of such a regular flower delivery service. Are there similar services in foreign countries such as the United States and France? However, it seems that the heart is excited just by having flowers nearby. I really want to take care of it.

I am part of a Japanese company with an Akoya pearl farm. Apart from the company, I personally run an Akoya pearl shop. I would appreciate it if I could share smiles with various people through pearls.
