At Flower Jem, I use YouTube so that customers can better examine the quality of my pearls.
Many of the pearl pieces currently for sale have videos of their production process uploaded to YouTube.
I feel that it is difficult to properly evaluate the quality of pearl jewelry based only on carefully arranged and polished product photos.
However, when you see the pearls during the actual making process, I believe it becomes much easier to understand their true quality.
In other words, instead of showing you the actor on stage, I am showing you the actor on a day off.
For about two years, I continued posting videos on the Flower Jem channel. At one point, I invested more effort into editing and even added subtitles exceeding 10,000 characters. Most of those 10,000 characters were simply casual conversation.
As a result, each video required more than two hours to complete.
Gradually, I began to feel that this time was too precious to spend on editing. So from 2026 onward, I decided to focus on live streaming at Flower Jem. The purpose is not real-time interaction, but simply to eliminate the need for video editing.
You will see not only the genuine quality of the pearls, but also my clumsy hands, my constant struggle with tangled thread, and even long sequences of me quietly filing silver during metalwork.
Other shops may showcase only the polished, beautiful, and attractive aspects of their products.
At Flower Jem, I choose to show everything as it is. By doing so, I can save time on editing and, more importantly, I hope that complete transparency will help you trust Flower Jem a little more.
Recently, I streamed the production process of six pairs of earrings, and the video exceeded four hours in length.
Flower Jem articles are often long, and so are the videos.
This approach may not follow modern trends, but if it helps even a little in understanding the quality of the pearls and how each piece is created, I will be happy.
