Today, I’m at a motorcycle shop in Kyoto. I’m planning to ride my motorcycle to Tokyo next week, so I came here for some pre-trip maintenance.
Interestingly, yesterday, I spent an hour and a half riding on the highway from my home to Kyoto. The motorcycle shop, which usually closes at 19:00, closed at 18:00 on that day, so I had no choice but to visit my brother’s house in Kyoto. We played Mario games on the Nintendo Switch with my niece and ordered a unique combination of pizza and sushi for dinner. It rained heavily that night.
The next morning, it was completely sunny, and now I’m at the motorcycle shop.
They are replacing a part called the throttle cable, which was almost worn out. I found myself with a lot of free time, so I’m writing this blog post. It’s a beautiful day today.
While I was writing this blog, the guy at the motorcycle shop said, “I found this long screw stuck in your tire.” They told me that it won’t cost as much as a full tire replacement, which would be $268. It was a stroke of luck in the midst of misfortune.
