What can I do with this?

There are some pearls and some parts, but I find it difficult to balance what I want to make or what I can make. Even if I have an image of what I want to create, when I actually use pearls, it is different from what I imagined. There are also times when I find the application of the part difficult to achieve my image.

I’m not a designer to begin with, nor am I in the business of making accessories. The company I work for has a pearl farm, and I came to like pearls as I came into contact with them. Also, I couldn’t sell pearls as I wanted at the company, so I started selling pearls like this personally. After selling on Etsy.com for two years, I wanted more space to express myself, so I created this website.

That’s who I am, so I’m still learning about designing accessories. Currently, most of them make simple products that rely on pearls. I want to continue my studies and make pearl products with various designs.

Today, the Japanese news reports that the exchange rate against the US dollar is the lowest in 32 years. Of course, not only the yen but also the currencies of various countries are depreciating, and emerging countries are struggling to repay their dollar-denominated debts, which is becoming a global problem. A joint statement from the G7 meeting said the pace of rate hikes would be “appropriately adjusted,” but the Biden administration has tolerated rate hikes to keep prices down. We can feel the difference in position with Japan. I really don’t know the future of the economy, but I want to do what I can without I can.

Also, the news reported that more and more Japanese people with jobs are going abroad to work. It seems that foreigners can make a lot of money due to the rise in prices and the weak yen. Thirty years ago, many Chinese migrant workers came to Japan. Then Vietnam, and now there are more Cambodians. However, it is said that workers will stop coming from Vietnam and Thailand in a few years. It seems that Japan is no longer a country where They can earn money.

A decline in the labor force is directly linked to the yield of pearls. I believe that the future of pearls will surely be bright if Cambodian people can actually work well at the farm.

I am part of a Japanese company with an Akoya pearl farm. Apart from the company, I personally run an Akoya pearl shop. I would appreciate it if I could share smiles with various people through pearls.
