Today, I relisted Tereya-san.
Recently, ChatGPT was updated, so I tried handing over some of the listing work to its Work mode.
Unfortunately, I hit the usage limit almost immediately, so the work had to stop halfway through.
Still, it seems like this could become very useful, so I am now considering upgrading to the Pro plan.
Making pearl jewelry and writing articles are very analog kinds of work, and I want to keep doing those myself. But posting everything on the website may soon become something I can hand over to AI in a semi-automated way.
Every listing involves a lot of repetitive work: entering the same kinds of code, prices, tags, uploading photos, and doing many small mechanical tasks. None of them are especially difficult, but together they quietly take up a surprising amount of time.
If AI can save me even one extra hour that I can spend actually touching and working with pearls, that would be wonderful.
At the same time, it still feels very strange to watch AI operate my computer.
I am not someone who is particularly knowledgeable about AI or technology. In fact, I have always felt rather distant from that world. But if even someone like me can use it easily, then in that sense, AI is something I can be grateful for.
There is something amusing about using cutting-edge technology like AI for extremely analog work: making one-of-a-kind pearl jewelry by hand, working directly with pearls, and putting my thoughts into words.
