Snow Halo|Akoya Pearl Bracelet
This Akoya pearl bracelet measures 19 cm in length.
In the photos, you can see it worn on my 15 cm wrist, where it fits comfortably and slides about 5 cm when the arm is lowered—creating a relaxed, elegant drape.
The clasp is a versatile clip type, attachable not only to the ring but also between the pearls, allowing subtle length adjustments. If desired, the bracelet can also be extended.
The pearls were hand-selected from a lot of 20,000 natural white Akoya pearls. From these, I chose 200 AA-grade pearls (high luster, minimal blemishes) and 560 A-grade pearls. This bracelet is crafted with the remaining pearls—still beautiful, but more accessible thanks to their baroque shapes.
Many assume “baroque” means “lower quality,” but pearl quality is defined by luster, blemishes, and nacre thickness—not shape alone. Thick nacre and strong luster are the hallmarks of true beauty. Round pearls may command higher market prices, but that doesn’t always equate to charm.
Baroque pearls bring a warmth and relatability to everyday wear. Unlike perfectly round pearls that may feel formal or distant, these pearls invite conversation:
“Is that a pearl bracelet?”
“Yes, baroque Akoya pearls.”
“Wow, I didn’t know pearls could look like this—so cute!”
This approachable beauty is further enhanced with the all-knot technique and gray thread, adding a refined yet modern touch.
The pearls display a soft white tone with a hint of pink—similar to the delicate cherry blossoms currently in full bloom here in Kobe. Just as the blossoms are celebrated for their fleeting beauty, these pearls embody natural elegance born from time and care.
I invite you to discover the charm of baroque Akoya pearls—beautiful, approachable, and meant to be worn every day.
