Night Sky — Natural Blue Akoya Pearl Earrings
These pearls caught your attention, didn’t they?

Their remarkably deep blue-green color, combined with red-pink overtones, is truly captivating.
Although the two pearls differ considerably in size, their levels of luster, blue-green coloration, and red-pink overtones are remarkably similar.

There are some irregularities on the surfaces of the pearls, but personally, they don’t bother me at all.
With such thick nacre, deep blue-green colors, and beautiful reddish overtones, I think these pearls are truly worthy of being called gemstones.
Incidentally, the pearls used in these earrings were originally one of approximately ten pairs I put together to present several options to a customer.

From those ten pairs, I selected six particularly attractive pairs and turned them into finished earrings.
I named them Marshmallow, Sun-Dried, Daybreak, Pudding, Sun’s Up, and, of course, Night Sky.

Before listing them, I did what I usually do: filmed and uploaded a YouTube Short for each pair.
Judging by the reactions to those videos, Night Sky seems to be the most popular of them all.

The videos contain no explanations whatsoever, which makes me wonder whether truly beautiful pearls can communicate their charm without any words at all.

Personally, I also love the combination of these red-pink overtones and deep blue-green colors. However, as a pair of earrings, the pearls are quite different in size.

The reason for this difference is simple: I sacrificed size consistency in order to create a pair with such beautiful blue-green colors and reddish overtones.

I still have these earrings in front of me as I write this.

Their luster isn’t exceptionally strong in terms of brightness, but their surfaces have a distinctly metallic quality to their shine.
It seems that pearl luster can be understood in several ways, including the intensity of reflected light and the particular character or texture of that reflection.

Now, there are quite a few people in the world who are searching for pearls with this kind of deep, rich blue color.

So I have a feeling these earrings might find their new home rather quickly.
Having said that, if this article is still here three years from now, please feel free to laugh at me.

Well then, I still have Sun-Dried, Daybreak, and Pudding to list after this, so I think I’ll leave it here for today.
