These are Akoya pearl earrings. While the pearls aren’t perfectly round, their metallic surface has a strong luster and a refreshing bluish hue. I selected this pair based on the strength of their luster, so the depth of color differs slightly between the two. Depending on whether you match pearls by color or by luster, the impression of the pair can change significantly.
Personally, I find that it’s easier for a pair of pearls to work well together if their luster is similar, even if their color is slightly different. It’s like car headlights—if the brightness is different between the two, it feels like something is broken. But if the brightness is the same, even if the color is different, it feels like it could just be part of the design.
I’ve taken a lot of photos of these earrings, each showing a slightly different look. Please evaluate these earrings based on whether they speak to you.
By the way, I made 20 pairs of these earrings at the same time. You can check out the selection process on YouTube if you’re interested.
Today is September 26th, and the end of the month is approaching. During weekdays, I work a job unrelated to pearls, and since the end of the month is near, I’ve been busy preparing for inventory, which kept me late at work today. My workplace shares the building with about three other companies. As I was leaving the office and stepped into the hallway, the alarm went off, and soon after, a police car and a SECOM security officer arrived. It seems everyone had already gone home without my knowing, so I ended up troubling the police and security.
This reminds me of an incident when I was working at a pearl company. I had stayed late and ended up falling asleep on the sofa in the company’s reception room. At around 3 AM, I was woken up by a bright light shining on me and someone yelling, “Show me your license!” SECOM had been activated, and the police had mistaken me for a burglar.
I’ll have to be more careful with SECOM from now on.
With that, I hope you enjoy your shopping experience!
