These are Akoya pearl earrings.

The pearls measure approximately 7.8–7.9 mm and are a natural blue color. This pair has slightly different color tones: one pearl leans more toward green, while the other has a more pinkish tone.

However, both pearls have a remarkably similar transparent luster, almost as if their surfaces were coated with glass. They also have a soft, pastel-like appearance. So although their surface colors are somewhat different, I am confident in pairing these two pearls together.

These earrings were made in September 2024. I had listed them for sale at the time, but later took the listing down for a while. And, very much like me, I completely forgot to list them again.

No, let me get back to the pearls.

At that time, I made 20 pairs of earrings in addition to this pair.

The pearls had been harvested in 2024. I sent them out for stain-removal treatment, and when they came back, I began sorting them. The very first thing I did was select pairs for earrings.

I first selected 20 pairs for earrings from several hundred individual pearls. These were the pairs I considered to be among the best of the lot.

Incidentally, I recorded the entire process—from the initial sorting and pairing of the pearls, to deciding where to drill the holes, drilling, attaching the earring fittings, removing excess adhesive afterward, and finally seeing the completed earrings.
