Akoya natural blue baroque pearl earrings, all-knoted with Red thread, K18 fittings and mirror balls, custom order

Sold Out

These earrings are made using an abundance of red thread. They were originally created in April 2022. Even back then, I was already fond of the all-knot technique, and it seems I decided to incorporate all-knotting into earrings as well.

For a long time, these earrings stayed with me, waiting quietly without being sold. Personally, because they are one of Flower Jem’s early works, having them close at hand gave me a sense of reassurance. Every time I looked at them, memories of the customers from that time and the thoughts I had back then would flash through my mind for just a fraction of a second.

It seems that the time has finally come for these earrings to take the stage. I received an order through Instagram, and the customer also requested that the findings be changed to K18 gold. Once I actually worked on them, the combination of the red thread and gold gave an atmosphere that reminded me of the Middle East. In my rather simple imagination, the colors brought to mind an ancient Egyptian princess. That is why I named them “Red Sea.”

Because the thread is long, I briefly considered calling them a red river, but instead I was reminded of the Red Sea in the Middle East.

As for the pearls used in these earrings, the surface of one pearl is very smooth, while the surface of the other is slightly rough. Looking closely, it seems that at the time I paired these pearls primarily by color. The balance of blue and pink, as well as the quality of their luster, is very similar. Even sisters may differ in height or personality, yet still share something in common. Although these pearls differ in surface smoothness, their shape, luster, and the balance of blue and pink truly make them feel like sisters.

This order was a remake of an existing pearl piece. Thanks to it, I feel I made a new discovery myself. By the way, the process of remaking these earrings has been posted on YouTube.

Thank you very much for visiting. Please take your time and enjoy.
