These are Akoya pearl earrings.

They have a natural blue base color with soft green and pink overtones, along with strong luster. They are the kind of pearls I personally love. This time, I photographed them again for their relisting, for the first time in two years.

Because of these pink overtones, I named them Tereya-san, which means “shy one” in Japanese.

A typhoon is approaching Japan, so the wind is strong and the weather has been mostly cloudy. Even so, these pearls are still shining beautifully.

Now that September has arrived, it has become much cooler, although lately the humidity still feels a little high, perhaps because of the typhoon. The transition from summer to autumn is also a popular season for outings and travel, but I’ll be enjoying my time with pearls instead.

Come to think of it, I heard that ChatGPT was recently updated. I don’t know much about the technical side, but in my case, it looks like I can continue doing the analog work myself—making pearl jewelry and writing articles—while AI handles the mechanical task of posting them to my website using my computer.

I tried it experimentally a little while ago, and I was genuinely surprised to see AI actually operating my computer.

Of course, I was the one who gave it permission to do so.

If AI can take care of the repetitive, mechanical work while I continue doing the handwork and writing myself, and that gives me more time to actually touch pearls, then that would be perfect.

Even now, AI keeps telling me, “You don’t need to write so many articles,” although here I am writing a little one anyway. It feels like the number of arguments I have with AI may increase from now on, but as long as I keep paying for it, at least we probably won’t completely break up.

That is somewhat reassuring.
